Today I complete a year at Incedo. It has been a wonderful journey and I want to thank all my clients, colleagues and partners for making it so special. A year back I inherited a Good company but our ambition was higher. We wanted to set the vision for building a Great company, a world-class technology services company. A company that is at the cutting edge of emerging technologies and is able to help clients gain a competitive advantage by leveraging these emerging technologies. Moreover, a company that is able to attract, develop and retain outstanding talent and is truly Employee First in its mindset and practices.
As I reflect on the year gone by I am very pleased to see the needle movement on our Good to Great vision. Let me talk about 4 areas that I feel particularly good about:
- Serving great clients. Incedo is blessed to have a fantastic set of clients and I feel fortunate that they trust us to solve some of their most pressing business and technology problems. Whether it is helping a Telecom major navigate through its Digital Transformation journey or an Industrial Products Conglomerate accelerate its product development and innovation velocity, it is helping solve the most pressing problems for our clients that gets me really excited and has been the highlight of the year for me.
- Building world-class Digital and Analytics capabilities. We have chosen to focus on building world-class digital and analytics capabilities. These are very exciting, fast evolving spaces. In Digital, our endeavor is to build end-to-end capabilities from consulting, data science to engineering and operations execution that cut across organizational boundaries and deliver tangible business outcomes to our clients. Analytics is a significant part of our Digital capabilities but is important in its own right. I believe we are building one of the first Horizon 3 Analytics companies where we are leveraging the combination of deep domain expertise, cutting edge technology platforms, our proprietary AI/ML based solutions and world-class talent to deliver breakthrough impact.
- Building a world-class team. The joy of a journey becomes manifold when it is with people that you like, trust and respect. I have been fortunate to have outstanding partners in this journey. Saurabh and I have been close friends for almost 3 decades. It is wonderful for me transform that friendship also into a business partnership. Moreover, we are blessed to have many wonderful leaders at Incedo, who are hard-working, entrepreneurial and always trying to give their best for our clients. We have been able to supplement the team by bringing in many world-class professionals, who are acknowledged experts in their areas and helping us raise our game. The fact that we have been able to bring in so many outstanding leaders is a great validation for Incedo and our vision.
- Clear direction for Incedo. Finally, we have been able to generate a lot of clarity on what we need to focus on as Incedo. We have set our long-term vision and mission, have clarity on our next 3 years strategy, and also been able to define our values that are the foundation of our distinctive culture. We are operating in a chaotic, ever changing business & technology environment where it is easy to get lost. Having this clarity on direction is a great plus for us and sets us up very well for focused execution.
The first year at Incedo has far surpassed my expectations. We have made tremendous progress on all fronts – client, capabilities, talent and performance. We are well placed to progress on our vision of building a world-class company and I am really looking forward to the exciting journey ahead.
